What is a “service” at REBIKEL?
We don’t offer fixed packages for a bike service because we only want to repair, maintain, and subsequently charge you for what actually needs to be done. Just like us, every bike has its own needs and requirements, which we want to take care of individually.
If you want a classic service we may of course still inspect every single screw on your bike.
How long does all of this take?
Once you’ve made an appointment with us, most of the straightforward repairs take about one working day. Most of the time you can pick up your bike on the same day you brought it in.
Smaller repairs such as tube replacement, brake adjustment, or chain replacement are done as soon as possible. Normally, this means you can pick up your bike within a few hours; in urgent cases, these repairs can be carried out immediately.
What kind of parts do we use?
Depending on your preference and availability of parts, we use either high-quality new parts or refurbished used parts. We always try to make sure that repairs remain affordable for our customers while still allowing us to pay our rent.
Repairs
We usually repair everything from the everyday beater to modern e-MTBs and e-cargo bikes.
- Brakes (hydraulic & mechanical)
- Wheels (hubs, spokes, rims)
- Gears (outer & inner cables, derailleur, shifters, derailleur hanger, jockey wheels)
- Gear hubs (e.g., 3-speed to 8-speed)
- Drivetrain (chain, cassettes, chainrings, cranksets)
- Bottom brackets
- Steering, stem, handlebars, grips
- Lighting (hub dynamo & side-runner, battery & USB lights)
- Fork replacement (rigid & suspension fork)
- Seatposts & saddles
- Racks, chain guards, baskets, pedals, fenders
- Tires, tubes
- Roadworthiness (various reflectors, bell, everything needed for legal use)
- And much more
By arrangement, we also offer fork services and e-motor services. These jobs may take longer depending on the requirements.
Custom bicycles
In addition to selling used and customized bikes, we can also build your very own custom bike.
In a short conversation, we can plan your dream bike with you and provide an approximate cost estimate. We take your individual wishes into account and support you with our mechanical expertise. If you already have a frame, we can build on it; otherwise, we will help you choose a new frame and the core components of the project.
Depending on the complexity, custom bike projects may take a bit longer than standard repairs or builds.
Bicycle restoration
Do you have an old bicycle that you’d like to give new life? Bring it to us!
Whether it’s a classic Puch, a 70s road bike, or a traditional “Waffenrad”, our stock of vintage spare parts allows us to restore many bicycles using original or era-appropriate components.
